I am beyond frustrated with this hospital. My mother was admitted on Friday with a pleural effusion that needed to be drained. We were told on Friday that the procedure would be scheduled for Saturday. Instead, we spent the entire weekend waiting because the radiology team was not available. After waiting all weekend, Monday finally came, only for us to be told that they still weren’t sure if the procedure could be done because it “has to be scheduled.” How does a procedure go from being promised for Saturday to still being uncertain on Monday? If this had been a life-threatening emergency, would the radiology team still have been unavailable all weekend? Families deserve clear communication and timely care, not empty promises and constant delays. The only bright spot throughout this experience has been the nursing staff. Katie in the Emergency Department, and Shannon and Gracie on the 3rd floor have been exceptional. Shannon, in particular, has gone above and beyond to advocate for my mother, keep us informed, and provide compassionate care during an incredibly stressful time. They are the reason this review isn’t one star. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the physicia

This is in regards to my interaction with customer service for billing today. Explaining my mother's death and to stop auto billing. I never spoke with somebody with so much fatigue. That was disinterested in speaking with a customer. I felt like she was pushing me off the phone. So she can go to lunch. I did call her supervisor. And was able to leave a voicemail. When I advised her I wasn't completed with my request.I was hung up on. At no point was I rude, nor did I portray having an attitude. I'm still grieving my mom and i'm not about to start shit with somebody else. All I ask is for some compassion. And to stop billing, my mother's account.

This facility blocked my dad from saying goodbye to his girlfriend of 22+ yrs. The law says no patient alone. They failed my friend & family & went against the patients wishes. I would never go to Halifax only Advent if you care about your loved one. I emailed and called patient relations & the ethics committee but no call back, no email to try to straighten this out before it was too late so they could say goodbye. They failed her & us bc they didn’t listen to her wishes that she specifically asked for. Unacceptable. Nobody would listen or help to let them say goodbye & they removed his name from her contact person that one & only she chose in all her records. Also, the Dr told her she was going to die & she was extremely upset & crying. Sad & heartbreaking.💔

I’m extremely disappointed in Halifax and maybe it’s just this location because I spent half my life in the Daytona location and always loved Halifax but today my fiancé was completely dismissed over the edema/ sun poisoning on his forehead. His head is so swollen his eyes can barely open, he’s was in pain with a severe head ache, dizziness and nausea. He’s not one to miss work ever! So that’s when I know it’s serious there is so much fluid his forehead it’s like one of those squishy fidgets. And all you did was ct and toradol. When the only thing he really needed was antibiotics in case of infection! And you didn’t do that at all! Which the ct I’m proud and impressed you even did; however toradol for a pt that is already complaining of dizziness, and has a past of high blood pressure and kidney stones all side effects of toradol. I know it’s a ani inflammatory and pain relief but what about antibiotics and IV for hydration! I feel like you didn’t take the right precautions nor prepared him for what can come from it which if he gets an infection will now just land him right back in the er he’s the world and provider to me and 6 children and deserved your time and attention! If you’re looking for competent, caring, compassionate employees, go elsewhere for they failed in various categories!! Dr Rich was basically incompetent, I could’ve gotten more results with google! Olivia was a very sarcastic nurse that was supposed to be caring for me. When you have a request and a medical boundary, you are dismissed! from all levels!! I will be contacting the so called leader of the hospital, I’d like to know how his loved ones are treated at Halifax? I speak English, have insurance and denied the proper treatment due to inflated egos!! Please retrain your staff on compassion, empathy and basic courtesy,
